HMSWeb© enhances its performance in the agribusiness sector with Cargill

The company HMSWeb Tecnologia da Informação Ltda. won its third contract within the agribusiness sector with one of the most important world players in the area: Cargill, a multinational company based in the state of Minnesota (USA) which acts in food production and processing.

Last March, the company, Forship Group’s right arm with specialization in Information Technologies (IT) solutions development, started the licensing, implementation, configuration and training of the Handover Management System (HMSWeb©) software and of its movable component, the HMSMobile© application. This was done with the purpose of commissioning the Retrofit & Truck Dumper’s project for the Porto Velho (RO) Cargill’s terminal. In full use since April, the HMSWeb© gained a 10 score from the client, who recognized its contribution to the improvement of the unit’s commissioning process, that will go on until October.

The new contract, in addition to the other two already carried out for Cargill and which involved activities at the Santarém (PA) port terminal, consolidates the position of the company next to its client. “Our main challenge is to ensure the total adhesion of the solution to the project and the possibility the case repeats itself in other Cargill’s projects in Brazil and Latin America, paving the way for Forship to be contracted for Commissioning engineering services and consolidating the performance of the group within the Infrastructure and agribusiness market,” noted Luciano Gaete.

According to him, in the first projects with Cargill, the entire scope of activities was related to the implementation of HMSWeb©. However, since 2017, we have prospected some opportunities with a wider scope involving Forship’s engineering services as well. “And we were successful with this strategy,” says the CEO of HMSWeb Tecnologia da Informação, Luciano Gaete, citing as examples other Cargill’s projects that are currently under negotiation.
