HMSWeb is part of Amadeus project
Rio de Janeiro, March 08, 2021 - Lenzing Duratex Celulose is going to use our technology in order to commission one of the largest soluble pulp plant in the world.
LD Celulose joint venture, formed by the Austrian group Lenzing and the Brazilian company Duratex, chose HMSWeb as the software platform for managing the commissioning of its new plant, which will annually produce 500 thousand tons of soluble pulp. The contract with the new client encompasses licensing, deployment, training and support of the tool for the project. “We expect to make a significant contribution to consolidating the entire commissioning of the project, the scope of which is distributed among several EPCists, allowing LD Celulose to maximize its capacity of management, monitoring and control for this emblematic project, both for the company itself and for the paper and pulp (P&C papel e celulose) market in general,” points out HMSWeb officer, Luciano Gaete. With investments of up to BRL 5.2 billion, the plant—that is under construction in Triângulo Mineiro region, between the municipalities of Indianópolis and Araguari, and is expected to start operating in 2022—will be one of the largest in the global industry of soluble pulp. HMSWeb, which enables the process to be fully digital, is a solution in line with LD Celulose's strategy for adopting “the best technologies available in the implantation of the plant, not only in the sustainable production process, but also in the solutions that it seeks. Lenzing Duratex Celulose is going to use our technology in the commissioning of one of the largest soluble cellulose plants in the world. HMSWeb is part of the Amadeus project to reduce emissions to the environment,” according to the company's website. 100% remote HMSWeb's work in the scope of Amadeus project, as well as in the scope of the other ongoing projects started since the onset of the pandemic, will be performed remotely, a model to which the company is 100% adapted. “In practice, it was not entirely new to HMSWeb's team, which was used to remotely aid clients and provide support to projects in Brazil and abroad,” said Gaete. The difference is that, today, even traditionally in-person activities, such as training and on-site assisted operation periods are carried out remotely, however, the execution of the project is unharmed,” concluded the officer.
