Poyry expands the partnership with HMSWeb

Rio de Janeiro, March 24, 2021 - Finnish group chose to use the solution once more, now in a Bracell project.

HMSWeb achieved another contract in partnership with Poyry: it will be responsible for the licensing and deployment of, as well as the rendering of support for the technological tool that enables managing the commissioning of the BOP (balance of plant) used in Bracell STAR project, which encompasses part of Lençóis Paulista and Macatuba municipalities. As the largest private investment in São Paulo state over the last couple of decades, STAR project is going to expand the current annual production of 250 thousand tons of cellulose to 1.5 million tons/year. Increasingly adherent, the new contract consolidates the partnership with the Finnish company and, once again, legitimates HMSWeb as a solution for the pulp and paper market. The scope of the contract is similar to that of other partnerships with Poyry, in projects by Klabin and LD Celulose. “Our expectation—with the significant contribution of HMSWeb in the management of these projects and the expansion of the partnership with Poyry—is that our solution will be recognized not only as the best on the national scenario, but also on a global level in this industry,” pointed out HMSWeb officer, Luciano Gaete. The new project with Poyry is another step forward for the consolidation of HMSWeb in the market that has Brazil as one of the major global players in the export and production of cellulose. “With these projects, we want to consolidate and increase the adherence of the tool to market demands, in order to evolve and innovate in the paper and pulp industry,” concludes Gaete.
